Dumpster Rental
Everything You Need to Know Before Renting a Dumpster
A 20-yard dumpster rental costs $625 for 1–14 days or $799 for a month. The price includes two tons of weight, and if you go over that, it’s $95 for each extra ton. There’s also a $20 charge for each extra day past your rental period.
All our driveway-friendly dumpsters come with a full back door that swings open, making it easy to walk in larger or bulky items instead of lifting them over the sides. This design helps load furniture, appliances, or heavy debris straight into the dumpster with less effort, which is perfect for home cleanouts and renovation projects.
You can put most non-hazardous waste in a residential dumpster rental. This includes household junk, old furniture, yard debris, construction waste like wood or drywall, appliances (as long as you're following any instructions for things like refrigerators), electronics for recycling, mattresses, and even bulky stuff like hot tubs. You can’t put anything hazardous in the dumpster—like chemicals, batteries, paint, asbestos, or flammable liquids. If you're unsure about a specific item, it's a good idea to call before tossing it in, just so you don't run into any issues with pickup or disposal.
Choosing the right size construction dumpster depends on how much debris you expect to have. For small renovation jobs or cleanup projects, a 10-yard dumpster is usually enough and holds about 4 pickup truck loads. If your project is a bit bigger—like a small kitchen remodel or replacing flooring—a 15-yard dumpster fits around 6 pickup loads. Renovating several rooms or tackling larger projects usually calls for a 20-yard dumpster, which holds about 8 pickup loads and is our most popular size for construction debris. For major remodels, large demolition, or big construction sites, a 30-yard dumpster is the best choice and can handle up to 12 pickup truck loads. If you’re not sure or your project is unusual, reaching out for advice can keep you from overpaying for space you don’t need or running out of room too soon. Remember to think about what materials you’re tossing and how heavy they might be, since weight limits also matter.

You can keep a dumpster rental for anywhere from 1 to 14 days under standard pricing. If you need it longer, monthly rentals are available too. If you go past your initial rental period, there’s an extra charge of $20 for each additional day you keep the dumpster. This gives you a lot of flexibility if your project takes longer than expected. Just let the team know you need more time, and you’ll only pay for the extra days you actually use.
You can keep a residential dumpster rental for up to 14 days with the standard rental. If you need it longer than that, you’ll be charged $20 for each extra day you keep the dumpster. If you know you’ll need it for a full month, you can also rent it at a monthly rate, which might save you money compared to paying for each extra day.

Same-day and weekend delivery are available for roll off dumpster rentals, depending on scheduling and current availability. Each dumpster rental includes a set amount of tonnage in the base price. If your load goes over that included weight, there’s an extra fee of $95 for every additional ton. For example, a 10-yard dumpster includes one ton, so if you go over that, you’ll be charged $95 per extra ton at final pickup. The same rate applies to overweight loads in any dumpster size. All charges for overweight tonnage are clearly outlined up front so there aren’t surprises when you get the final bill.
